Anything that gets the tires off the ground will work just fine. I have the standard Yamaha ones from my dealership and they work great. You will have to get rear spools for most rear stands.

pit bull. there is no substitute. you could also make this cool bike stand for the price of 2 sheets of 3/4in plywood:

(sorry, haven't got any pics of the new bike on the stands yet. perhaps i'll go get some now?)

ha thats awesome
thanks! that was the best $40 i ever spent. no glue, screws or nails, assembles and disassembles in about 2 min and stores flat. here are a couple pics i took this afternoon with the r6...

i used to have a link with instructions on how to make it, but i can't find it for some reason...

Thats a pretty slick and inexpensive way to go. I just have this horrible image of my bike tipping over and off that :secret

i have t rex as well, awesome stands but their customer service is beyond terrible. They sent me the wrong stand and basically told me to deal with it...

thanks! i had the same concerns until i actually got the bike on it for the first time. it's very stable and can't be used without at least a rear stand because of how narrow it is (side stand doesn't touch). once on the stands, tho, it would take an impact hard enough to knock it off the regular stands sitting on the garage floor...
