I followed the following steps:
1. Cut up some leather pants.
2. Ductape a pillow to your head.
3. Stretch leather pants over your head/pillow and tie them tight.
4. Hit those twisties baby! Your as safe as it gets!
For the last couple years I've been riding with the Arai Quantum II. I've had two visor cover failures (broke off a taba that holds the side cover on) and a broken mouth vent. Arai paid for both side visor covers under warranty, and the mouth vent was out of pocket. My Arai is a bit louder than the Shoei, which I will be looking at for a replacement next year.
I've got the Shoei X-11 also (Vermeulen 3 TC-2) and I love it. By far the most comfortable helmet I could find--only thing I'd complain about is the wind noise at high speed--but I wear the I-Pod or ear plugs so no big deal. Plus, I'm fat so the helmet style is slimming--
