i'm looking for a good race stand, does anyone have any recommendations? i think it's called a race stand, it's the thing that holds you bike up by the swingarm spools. speaking of swingarm spools, do i have to worry about torque settings? if so, what's the setting?

Pitbull is the brand I always used, but they were given to me with my race bike. The only real adjustment is the width of your swingarm, but it's easily adjustable.

This brand has them for $100 a pair (front and back)
The Pitbull stands are a couple hundred bucks each, so this would probably be your best deal.

Speaking of stands, I was also looking into "Power Stands" and they seem as durable as the Pitbulls! The price is still up there but a little cheaper than the Pitbulls. And the piping finish is chrome/polished
Check out the link: http://www.powerstands.com/

I also ended up buying the Pitbull since Cycle Gear was on sale and got the rear stand for $110. I wanted the Power Stands since they have that polished finished but I found a way to turn my Pitbull into the same finish. Got me a metal polishing compound from an auto parts store and thing freakin' works.
I will post pics.
