Seriously, i read this forum everyday before i go to bed and try to learn a little more about my bike and riding techniques. Not to mention mistakes other people have made so i can learn from them.
On the other hand i get on here and see alot of people getting crap because they have only been riding for "X" amount of weeks/days/months.
Honestly when i purchased this bike I said since this is my first "sport" bike im gonna stick with a 600...more than enough power but not over powering.
These bikes demand alot of respect from the rider, it's obvious the second you take off in first gear.
Honestly though everyone has to start somewhere and when a new rider jumps on here and asks a dumb question and gets hazed by vets for being a "noob" or a "squid"..its pretty disheartening and might cause someone to not ask a question that may save their skin one day because of a few ass-holes. Get over yourself..you may have been riding for years and be a badass track monster...i respect that, but i respect those who teach and tolerate the new guys even more...and im sure I'm not the only one here who feels that way. Just tired and venting please excuse the poor grammar...i just like to see all of us acting like a family cause we all got the blue blood flowin.

I agree to some extent, though it's not that bad here, relatively speaking. If you're looking for assholes - check out the gixxer forum, if you want pretentious, checkout the rr forums.

Compared to those - this place is great! But it could use some more tolerance.

So what you're saying is... Everyone has an opinion, but I only want to hear the positive ones.

Is that right?
There is a marked difference between "positive" and "constructive" - IMO I don't think it's much to ask for people to be constructive if they choose to share their thoughts and opinions (be they for or against the point). IMO don't need anyone else's negativity.

I don't think thats what he is saying. There is a way to express yourself in a respectful manner even if you don't like what someone else has posted. Or if someone doesn't like it then they shouldn't post a response at all.

Anyway I agree with the OP. I think we all just need to look in the mirror sometimes and say, "I was at that point once."

R6 is my first bike.. and I haven't taken any shit off anyone on here.. Its not as much to do with experience on a bike, its to do with self control.. Atleast thats how I see it & you'll never stop learning.. My 2 cents..

Yea, im some of us are assholes, some of us are cool. I'm not gonna lie, i'm a big asshole.
I make fun of people who don't have on their proper riding gear. I call them squids,or noobies...and if you don't post pictures an occasional A-rab bullshitter. I don't do it as in being a bully, i do it more out of love. Like a mother telling her child not to play in the street, sometimes you need tough love in order for someone to listen.
If your wondering why some people get hazed in this forum, if you look at the thread asking opinions on "how to do wheelie" or "how to do burnouts" or "dude i got a ticket for going to fast". Like i said tough love, some people needs to get that kick in the ass so they can see the light. Some unfortunate soul is gonna go out on the street, and get himself seriously hurt or even killed.
This is the cooliest forum i've been on. Go to a local meet, or go hang out with some of these peeps around here. Try going to the tracks with some of the guys around you , i'll bet they will show you the ropes.
Take my advice bro, you'll enjoy it a whole lot better. These guys here are once in a lifetime friends, ugly as hell but genuine assholes friends:fact

It's not really that bad on here. I own a toyota pickup truck so I also post on pirate4x4 and that one is rough. Surf them both for a week and you'll see. People ask about exhaust all the time here. Again and again and most of the time people answer. Not so over there. Really rough over there.

The only times i'll get on here and rip on a noob is when you just want to punch them through their screen...

Lately i just see a lot of noobs that get on here and assume that all of us ride wheelies at 150 while we flip off cops on the highway...and the first thing they say is "This is my first bike and just got a brand new R6, how do i wheelie? Whats the fastest you've gone cause ive gone 200! Or what mods can i put on here so i can beat liter bikes!"

If you ask a legit question most of us have absolutely no problem answering it without any sarcasm...But theres always the smartass answers that are warranted cause most noobs also dont use the search or read the stickies...

Hope you enjoy your bike though!

There's always going to be immature people with stupid remarks, but for the most part this forum is pretty cool. I just ignore a$$holes. I mean what's the point in arguing with someone when just a couple clicks of the mouse and you can be watching porn instead. :nocontrol
