If I am reading your post correctly, I'm understanding that the 06-13 rotors ARE interchangeable but 08+ are thicker than 06-07?

Does this mean that I can use the 08+ rotors on my 06? Also, if I use the thicker 08 rotors they will they provide a different feel since the piston/pads are traveling less distance to squeeze the rotors?

you can but the rotors will drag. I removed the centering pins on my 07 so I can run later model rotors. Now I can spin my front wheel forever.

They travel the same distance regardless, once they're pumped up. Otherwise you couldn't account for pad wear.

um... I dont know what to tell you except when I installed an 08 front on my 07 the wheel would not spin freely. Removed the center pins and only then would the wheel spin freely with the thicker rotors

no the sleeves on the bottom of the caliper that go into the fork leg.

I wonder what difference that makes? it will still mount in the same spot! but good to know.

It gives me enough space to center the caliper over the fatter rotors without them dragging.
