I just got an 03 R6 track bike. I've done about 5 days this year. One thing I'm still annoyed with is the abrupt thottle reponse. The bike has a slip on.

Just curious if any track riders experience this, or I just need to get used to the R6. Would a PCiii be a big help with this?

I'm happy with the amount of power, just not happy with jerky throttle. Any advice would be great before I throw out $$ I could use on tires or more track days

Thanks,
Bill

If all it has is a slipon, then you probably need to just get used to the throttle response. If you REALLY can't handle the jerkiness of it, then a PCIII and a custom tune and you can have the power come on anyway you like. You can have a good mechanic tune the power to kick it at any RPM, but it won't be an optimally running engine. You can also look into buying an elliptical linkage for the throttle bodies which allows more finess at lower throttle conditions and faster response at higher throttle conditions.
