It always hurts to lose something that you take pride in. I agree that once you get out and even start looking at new bikes in preparation to buy one I think you'll start to feel better.

After hearing all these stories of bikes getting punked, do you all suggest I get LoJack or something? The only places I'll be taking this are work (pretty good area), possibly the college parking lot, and it'll sit in my garage.

My security system is a .45

Steal my bike, and you'll get the business end sooner or later... I've never had anything stolen that I didn't get back.

A permit to carry and a cool county sheriff will help.

As far as getting it back... I'll say 2 things... Insurance is a blessing sometimes. The other thing? Network, Network, Network... the more people you know, the less someone can go behind your back without being noticed..

On a more Fruedian note, anytime someone violates our sense of personal security, we often feel displaced. The good news... material things (no matter how close to heart) can be replaced, human life cannot--- you are alive to ride again someday..

I know what you mean about the depression. I sold a bike a couple years ago and was supposed to go to the ama races the next day. I just didn't want to go and stayed home because I was bummed. Buying another bike helps tremendously.

Reminds of when I was a teen...I had long hair and decided to cut it, then a couple weeks later Metallica tickets fell in my lap and I had to go sans my head bangin' hair! *sad face*

lol

I defintely felt the same way.... not because something was missing, but because SOMEONE violated my personal things.

People should die.

Since everyone is just giving advice on what to do next, I will actually answer your question, which is " What the **** is wrong with me(you)"....
Here we go.... you're sad? did I get it??
Not everyone understands everyones unique situation, maybe you're not in the financial position to just go get another bike(even used), knowing that you can't get(afford, whatever) another bike right away with summer approaching can be very depressing. All you are prolly thinking about is all the fun you had on it, and how you're not gonna be able to have that same fun, and just everything good about it. Try to think of the ways it makes your life easier not having it(sounds weird I know), until you can get another anyway! Also, You are what makes you who you are, ask any of your friends, no motorcycle makes anyone cooler! Hell, you can prolly have more fun without one!!
If ya want something bad enough you'll get it!! If all else fails and you get to the point of suicidal thoughts(and only then), do unto others how they have done to you!! Make sure no-one from the forums though, haha! Peace
p.s. this is all bullshit, lol
