After having the bike for about 6 months,I was on the highway cruising at about 80. My right hand had gotten tired so I took it off the grip. When put it back on I hit the kill switch. I noticed I had started slowing down and was like WTF! Then I hit the switch down and let out a huge bak fire! The car beside me jumped and kinda swerved away from me.

Then the other day I was down shifting for a u-turn. Well for some dumb ass reason I thought I still had the clutch in and blipped the throttle. This made me do a pretty good tank slapper. Scared the shit out of me.

Mines not so much embarrassing as it just scared the shit out of me. I was on a 3 lane road in the right lane cruising along when some guy in the middle lane in a mercedes decides to get in my lane and slam on his brakes to turn. He was about 10 feet in front of me so I slammed on the brakes a little to hard popped up a stoppie some how got over into the middle lane while riding out the stoppie(thank god there wasn't a car in that lane) When I finally get to a stoplight these kids in the laft lane were telling me how awesome that trick was. Meanwhile I just wanted my heart to stop pounding before it burst through my jacket. The moral of the story is unless you ride with Las Vegas Extremes or Starboyz riding stoppies through traffic is NOT cool.

I had the same kill switch saga. I'd had my bike for about a week and was out for a short ride. Somehow, I must have brushed the switch as I approached a stop light. Without knowing I had done so, I blithley shift into nuetral, come to a stop and proceed to check out the demo ride for a custom car stereo place in the parking lot about 15 feet away from me. Well, the light finally turns green, I pop into first, get off the clutch and on the gas and I'm not going anywhere. As this is happening, I'm thinking to myself, "Wow, this fucking helmet is reaaaal quiet!". Then I become painfully aware that I'm not moving. Then I look at the tach and it reads zero. So I hit the starter. Nothing. Hit it again. Nothing. Start swearing at the dealer who sold me this lemon and the start to get pissed off at the cars behind me honking at me. Then, I finally notice that the kill switch was flipped (and so was I at this point). So I flip it over, start it up, and bolt thru the intersection just as the light turns red again. :burnout

ya, Ima :asshole

thanks for letting me share. I haven't felt this good since AA meetings......

LOL... oh boy, this ones pretty good, but so lame of me. Listen up...

First or second day I had the bike (the we little three weeks ago it was...), I came to an intersection with three lanes. One lane (left) to turn left. One lane (middle lane) to go straight, and one more lane (right), to turn right. Now, all those were specific in nature as to where they were headed. None were like turn right OR go straight. Ok, now that you have the mental picture, here's the bad part. This minivan had pasted me like two lights back b/c I was going the speed limit. I said "AH NO, no you don't" so, I rushed in front of all the traffic waiting at that red light at the main intersection mentioned above. So, I was in the right hand turn lane waiting for the light to turn green so I could burn ALL the waiting traffic b/c if I wouldn't have, I would've been like 10 cars behind, and behind that stupid minivan. Anyways, point being... I was in right lane, Pontiac Grand Am GT (newer model too) is in the middle lane wanting to go straight. Of course it's a dude driving it, so I had to burn him... or at least I thought, lol.
Light turns green, I go to punch the throttle, but no, I let of the clutch too early, and then hit the throttle, what happens... yeah, stall. I stalled... and how ever so sad it was getting burned by a Pontiac. I was of course pissed, and followed him, then proceeded to burn him. But, the initial part sucked, and was completely embarassing.

Also, going 80mph in a neighborhood (rural) on a 1/4 stretch to impress a bud isn't and never is, a good idea. NEVER show off if you're just learning, lol. I did, and crashed (on my R6). Luckily, I locked the rear brake, skidded into the grass while evading the brick mailbox (big one) to my left -three feet away- doing about forty. Crashed doing about 15 into base of tree... it was mulched thank God again. Yeah, that was scarry, embarassing, and really stupid to say the least. I'm careful as all get-out now.

Thanks for reading...

Got back from a ride and was popping endos in my parking lot.

-you can probably guess where this is going-

I saw a guy with his little kid. Being the Bad Ass rider that I am  , I went to do another endo to show off..

The bike went up (too high), I stepped off the front, took about two steps turned around in time to see my ride hit the ground shiny side DOWN.

Bent the shit out of the subframe, broke off the brake lever, scratches on the front, scratches on the top of the tail section, broke the fairing stay in three places, scratches on the windscreen, tore the passenger seat, damage to the shit I kicked all over in the garage when I got the bike back in there.

I beat the subframe back into shape, bought a new brake lever and bent the front end back to where it looks like it used to.

Wish I hadn't done that last endo...

geeze

i had just baught my bike and i was riding it on the 3rd day it was a little wet out me and my buddy was riding together, we both had matching bikes, but anyways i was crusing around a turn when i seen 2 cars, one in each lane, in the road while im taking the turn, next thing i know my handlebars all of a sudden lock to the left causing me to slip on the wet surface and bust my ass in front of these people, i was embarrassed as i quickly got up and picked my bike up, it wouldnt start and i thought it was broke, i turned it completely off and then on and it started up, overall damage, i scratched my fairing and my yamaha motor cover, knocked off my left turn signal in the front which was easly poped back in, thats it, no scratch on me though, the scratches are minor but i still havent gotten it fixed cause the damn fairing is 250$ and the motor cover is 80$ but the scratches annoy the hell outta me! :cuss

What are these mushrooms you speak of?

Whee do you get them?

What do they look like?

Do you have to cut your plastics to install them?

Are they just normal frame sliders with a funny name?

...yeah...
