I’ve started to swap my tail over the winter and I’ve realized that I have a few issues. The wiring is different and I can’t connect the tail light and the 2012 ecu does not fit. Will I need to get the entirely different wiring loom? And will I need the 2017+ ecu? I figured with both of those questions they wouldn’t fit because the newer r6 has so many more electronic features on the new one than the old one. Any help/people who have done this before giving advice would be greatly appreciated

why would you change wiring for a body mod? Youre going to have to relocate as the newer model has significantly less room.
Here is my 2009 R6 Fully Converted To 2017 👀 bike was bought for less than 2k only 7k miles.... The fairings were trashed so I wanted to do a nice rebuild...
Thankfully yamaha made the oem 2017 front fairing stay and the oem rear 2017 subframe bolt up perfectly without hassle. 👌🏼🤘🏼. Everything else lines up perfectly with the 17 fairings. I have a few videos on YT with a 360 camera if you wanna see the bike in action 😎.
