So this has been bugging me. I am relativly new to bikes. Just recently bought an 03 r6 with 5500 miles on it. When it starts up and ideling the exhaust smell is really strong. It almost smells a little bit sweet but its no white smoke or smoke coming from the exhaust at all. When I took off the stock muffler, there was some black residue but that was all. Im just worried about the strong smell, and I have worried myself to the point where I keep thinking im bnuring coolant, but maybe its the 93 octane ethonol fuel just burning rich? :/

I cant speak on a GEN2 side but my GEN3(06+ R6) smells like that. Mines do to, Smog Block Offs, Full Exhaust, Fuel mapper and the beautiful smell of an R6!!!
