its pretty easy,

1. remove both seats.
2. unscrew the two tank bolts and lift up tank. (use a stick or something to keep it propped up)
3. Install pc3 in your tiny trunk, and run the wires.

oh yeah, all of this is assuming you have the proper map installed in your pc3

ditto to what mikee said. also it will give you a few HP but the best thing it does is smooth out the power curve, if u ever noticed theres a power drop at around 6k RPM. :cheers

 

I'm new to the Power Commander scene, can anyone tell me where I can get a map that's suited to my mods. I've got a full Yosh RS-3, Factory Pro velocity stacks, and I'm using the stock air filter.

I went to the Dyno Jet website and downloaded their programmer dealy, but I have no idea what to do with it.

I also have another question. How do you know if the PC3 has been mapped and mapped correctly? I got one on ebay and it was suppose to come already mapped. All I had to do was tell him my bike info.

well u can go to the power commander website and look up the best map for your application(mods on your bike) and if you have the USB commander you can download it into your commander. maps are basically a way of sayin air fuel mixture graph for comtrollin your commander. it tells it how much fuel to feed the engine and such. hope thats what your lookin for :cheers

 

ok, you need the software from dynojet to be able to load maps and alter them. if you have a laptop, you can connect to the PCIII with it, otherwise they sell 9v adapters so you can alter maps on your pc and upload them to the PCIII. As for getting maps, there are 2 ways. 1, find one that someone has that has the same mods you have. Dynojet has some on their site and if you ask around most people will share their. some won't cuz they did them the second way. 2, you can go to a dynojet approved tuning center and have a custom map made for anywhere between $150 and $300 which is why some are reluctant to give away their maps.

how do you tell if one is already loaded into your PCIII when you buy it? I have no clue.

 

Custom maps are the way to go because every bike is different. As far as telling what map is on your PCIII, install the software, plug it in and read the map.

since I have no fuckin clue where fresno is, there's the complete list there. there is one in fresno but its a hardley only tuning center.

As for Fresno, HD of Fresno is a liscenced tuning center. (559) 275-8586. This s definately the best way to go. Even if there is a map that you can download for your exact mods, it still won't be as effective as getting it done on a dyno. Good Luck!!
