So i picked up a bottle of Motul C5 chain paste from Ant over at Bauce Racing. Ants awesome to work with has helped me out a lot. So when he asked if i could write a review on the chain paste. I told him no problem.
So the bottle isn't very big and it looks like it could only be good for around 20 jobs. There is a nice hard brush on the end which seems like it will last a long time. Long enough to outlast whats in the bottle and countless brush strokes on the chain. The reason i wanted to try this is because i wanted something less messy and works well.
At first i tried to squeeze and brush at the same time but it was a pain in the ass to do it that way. So instead i squeezed some paste out then applied it on a section of chain, rotate the wheel then apply the paste to the next section of the chain. It was really easy to do and i was able to control how much paste was on the chain. The downside of this is it probably takes longer to lube. The plus side is you can really get in there with the brush and make sure your chain is lubed up well.
After i finished lubing my chain i went for a ride and i didn't get any fling. I liked how clean and easy it was to lube my chain. Also no fling afterwards is a huge plus for me. Now only time and miles will tell how well it holds up and works. I will update it after i get a few miles on it. I also have a track day next week so ill get some track miles on it.
So far i am really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Let me know if you have any questions regarding it and i will do my best to answer. :werd
