Maybe some padded riding pants would help some. Then again, the R6 is geared towards the track even in stock form. It's not designed for long rides with comfort in mind.

 

It's absolutely beyond me how not one single aftermarket seat is available yet.

I get the track focus but why bother adding pretty LEDs and projectors but sending the ergos to hell?

 

It took about 2 years for them to come to market for the r1. Corbin and saddlemen
Guys got some here and there but the quality wasnt there yet. Fit and finish was terrible. Some sent them back.

I emailed Saddlemen and they said I could send in my seat and they could do a custom seat with my seat pan.

I ended up ordering a Luimoto seat cover along with their gold gel. I’ll see how that works for now until other options become available.

 

How did the luimoto setup feel on your 2017?

 

Also curious to see how the gold gel feels. Definitely plan on getting their race seat for my bike, just wondering if the gold gel is worth the additional dollars.

Haha, I think about it now and again but life must be good for our buddy since he hasn't visited the forums for his bike since he got the gel. But I personally asked @Luimoto on IG about the Motonosity setup and his is literally just a seat cover if I recall. They highly recommend the gold gel (--despite what i've heard about gel seating in sunny California heat) for the type of comfort we're talking about here.
