No front blinkers and mine passes. $250.00 to put them back on??? It literally takes 5 minutes. Tell them to see if they can fit their head up their ASS.

Technically yes, but i think you can find another place.That will overlook(or doesnt know) it & pass it.

 

go to a small bike shop. sounds like the dealer is just trying to get you to spend more money with them

 

yeah just go pick up your bike and leave. Don't give them shit. If they wanna be difficult ask to speake the manager or owner and settle it with them.

 

I take mine to a little tiny whole in the wall shop that mainly works on old bikes. The guy that runs it doent care at all. Dealerships usually stick to the rules from my experience. They're more corporate so they watch their asses more.

 

in TX, we have places that do state inspections only, for both cars and motorcycles, see if you have any of those in your state, they dont give any trouble for motorcycles at all and dont charge much either ($14.50 in TX)

 

i go to the harley davidson shop , they look at the bike and pass it they dont care , 2 mins and 10 dollars later and i got a sticker ...i dont know what part of mass you are in but in swansea theas a shop called adreneline cycle im pretty sure he aint gonna stress the flushies or taillight

go to Break Lites on Rt 1...its near the exit to get on 95...they are cool in there....if not go to either Performance factor in Medford or go to Xtreme Moto Design in Wakefield...all these places will pass you

you dont need one til a cop pulls u i went almost all last summer wit out one then i got popped doin a holeshot and got a 75 dollar ticket for no inspection , but i went got the sticker for 10 dollars , and showed the judge and got it dissmissed just had to pay 35 dollar court fees so my advice spend the money and get it save yourself the trouble of taken time out of work to go to court and pay fees ...its cheaper to just get it or peel one off someone elses bike

I asked a few of the local shops about it before I put my stuff on. buds with 2 of the dealers. Ride on the weekends with one of them.. They said any time I need an inspection sticker aslong as all the lights work and the tires arent bald, were in business.

 

Maybe you could find someone off the forums in MASS with stock rear signals you can borrow and put em on yourself. Literally takes 10min MAX. $250 bucks...pfft they be crazy

Kansas is great we don't have inspections here. Just go in the tag office give um your money and away you go.

My dealership passed my bike with an intergrated tail light, and flush mounts. I would go to a local shop if your stealership is going to be gay like that.

 

well i have been out of state all winter so i left my bike at the dealership for storage. I called last month to tell them to install some new tires and to have them ready by the first week of April because that is when i plan to go pick it up. so i ask the guy what the total for the tires and storage will be. he says about $850. The bike has been in there since november so i say fine. then he tells me that the bike has a problem. he tells me that the flushmounts and the integrated tail arent DOT so the bike cant pass inspection and that it would be another $250 or so to put the originals back on. You figure this place would through me a bone after all the money i spent this winter at their dealership and jus pass the bike. All i can say is GAY!!!

You spent 850 for "storage" and a set of tires they see you as a mark. GTFO of there.
