What's the point?! Why do people do this? It boggles my mind. IS there actually a reason for it or is it too look "cool?"

I mean I've seen people with one white headlight and one yellow headlight. Or something similar to that. I don't see the point. To me it looks "ricey."

I have no clue what you are talking about. Stay off drugs! Eat your vegetables, take your vitamins, and stay in school!

use your imagination... the yellow bulb is most likely placed on the hibeam side for better visibility. as you move lower in kelvin ratings, usable light is higher! another benefit of running one yellow, one white, is cagers tend to see you better since your yellow hibeam stands out more. "ricey" i think not, purely performance.

the_student,
Thanks for the pics i knew what was being asked but i dont think others realized that some people run YELLOW lights.Theres a few people around here who do this as well. Its a differant look & also works great for night ridding as well as any fog you might encounter.

As for colored lights i think he was talking about yellow, green, oragne, ect lights. i know they sell differant color bulbs for cars & some ricers guys use them but i dont know why.

yeah i seen a guy wit a red low beam and a blue high beam, which doesnt make sense... the low beam shoulda been the blue since it is semi legal, the red i know is seriously illegal and the high beam could be shut off when needed.

the gold beam i have is just for visibility purpose for other drivers, and it kindof helps with lighting the road a-bit. really nothing more than cosmettics is what it boils down to.

I didn't know fog lights could dissipate fog! I was taught that fog lights had a different beam pattern that would better penetrate the fog increasing visibility distance rather than the relective glare that you get with white beam lights. Try hitting your brights in the fog and watch your visibility distance factor go to near zero. Also the yellow light spectrum has less reflectivity off of the water vapor droplets than the white spectrum. As for the colored lights shown in the previous pics, those are just bling factors for cruisers and show.

A friend of mine with a lot of riding experience under his belt did the one yellow, one white. He said the reason is simply to be more visible to cagers. People see the two colors at night, notice something is different and do a double take.

Thanks. I always have my brights on for that reason!
