Fast Turn Signals - Slowed Down in This Heat

The first owner of my bike installed flush mount turn signals, and the built in tail module. They didn't install the flasher relay (what ever you want to call it), so naturally the turn signals didn't blink at their normal speed. They were faster...today after about 25 minutes of riding in 90* heat they started to slow down to the normal speed. I figured either something is getting hot causing some more resistance in the wire or tail module, but I could be wrong. Keep in mind, the flashers were their normal "quick" speed when I left the house; it wasn't until a bit into my ride they started to slow down.

When I got home, I let the bike sit and cool down for about 5-10 minutes in the garage, and checked the turn signals again. They were back to their normal "quick" speed. Thoughts?

Thanks guys, appreciate it.

I would like to know why this is as well since I have a flasher relay for LED signals and they start out fine. However, they slow down to eventually just being "on" instead of blinking. I think bad flasher but am not certain.

Bump, after riding for about a minute today it went from it's normal "quick" speed to a normal looking turn signal. It's stayed that way all day...weird issue; not to sure what's going on with it.

Thoughts?
