Removing stock bar ends? Do they come out?

So I've been searching around and can't seem to find an answer.

I need to remove my stock bar ends from my 2011 R6. They are not stripped, spinning or any of that.

When I unscrew the allen bolt I am left with a threaded plug. Does this come out? If so how? I tried to thread the bolt in half way and pull but it is not moving.

Any help would be great, thanks

If it's anything like my R1 was, which is probably is, those things are glued in or something like that. I ended up cutting them out.

Chadwick's right, they are glued in. Out of curiosity what is your reasoning behind wanting to remove them?

Is there a recommended way to cut them out or just go at it?

I purchased Driven grips and bar ends. I got the grips on but the stock bar ends leave a gap so I want to replace them

Oh alright, sorry can't help ya. There should be a small gap on the throttle side though.
